A conventional cathode-ray tube TV, but one with pixel-plus, or a similar system, kicks the backside of plasma every time. Undoubtedly the plasma screens have some stupid kids' cartoon displayed on them, as they do animation well. Their weakness is that they have to plot images as triangles, and so if actors are moving, walking talking on the screen, they have to plot a new triangle for the leading edge of say, an arm or a face, and almost immediately rub it out and plot and display it again, and it just doesn't fool the eye, it makes me feel sea-sick. I don't know how on earth they managed to sell these crappy tv's to people. OK they are thin, but they also suck!
Search on ebay for 'pixel-plus'.

I would go for nothing less then samsung, or viewsonic!!

Other may seem to have good specs, but when you sit in front of the screen to watch your movie there's nothing like a viewsonic or samsung. I would pick a view sonic first!!
