dvd burner program cannot cahnge the format ...you will need a dvd authoring software to conver the video files resolution ...DVDlab Pro is good !

google search it .you will also get it on torrent sites .search for video tools

no software which is capable of doing it is free... you can use a cracked version if you download from torrent sites ...but if you like the software you should buy it !

Wide screen is wide screen, you can copy but will keep same format. You can download divx player which you can change the viewing format when you play however, not sure if windows media player will change viewing format. If your just talking about the dvd player for your tv, then maybee there might be any option within the dvd device to change the format or even on the tv, more likely with newer tv's lcd's screens.

If You mean that the picture is squeezed (distorted) and you are willing to convert the file into DVD format, then there is a free programme to download called VSO DivXToDVD which will let you select the screen format. If you want to burn them as files or get rid of the letterboxing, I don't think thats possible.

Widescreen does give you more of the picture though. Its fullscreen that cuts bits off (at the side).

i gather you prefer a full screen vs widescreen. Many movies in theaters are in widescreen ditto w/ a lot of dvd's. Television shows are in fullscreen. Some dvd players have a feature to adjust it into fullscreen. Mine does. Unless your TV is a widescreen.;w/c can also adjust the format.

Like the dude said, download a full screen version. But tween full and wide, widescreen is better, you don't get your movie chopped from the sides.
