Don't you know that we're riding the moral high horse? You can't swear, you can't show skin (remember Jackson's boob?), you can't smoke, but you sure as heck can show slaughter and murder, blood and gore. Goes to show where the "values" are in this country.

It hurts children and their learning process. Children focus on words, concepts, ideas, etc. that they don't know and work for finding an answer. A simple four letter word like d&^n or f*!k can cause kids to become dense to other words and lose focus on expanding their knowledge.

It doesn't HURT anyone, but it is deemed inappropriate in our society, so they don't allow it.
In all honesty if you can't express yourself or your opinions with out using them, then you have a very small vocabulary.
It is also a sign of being immature.
