People are religious-what's the problem?

2006-07-22 21:10:58 · answer #1 · answered by Rim 6 · 0 0

So many people are religious because they need something to believe in.

Its like when your a kid at Disneyland and you see Minnie Mouse. You believe its really Minnie because it makes you feel better. Any kid, of any maturity, can get warped into believing its her. But if taken the time to stop and think, any kid, of any maturity, can realize that its really a person in there.

People need to feel like the things that happen around them are not their fault, but someone else's doing. It leaves an excuse open. Its so much easier to pray about it than it is to actually do it. Its a way for someone to breathe out their emotions, and feel guilt free.

It is an epic question that you asked. No one truly knows. But everyone has their own version of their religion that they believe in. Religion is a very vague thing.

Religion is usually passed down from generation to generation. So, if a family of 2 becomes a family of seven, and voila! you have 7 more religious people. And the cycle keeps going.

Religion gives people answers that they are seeking. It gives purpose to many lives. Religion is a great thing for people to have because it gives direction in life. But a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is more valuable than gold and truly gives people peace in their hearts and blesses every aspect of their lives.

Generally, the belief in God is a belief in Santa Claus for most people.....God exists to serve the wants and needs of those who pray. I am so irritated by those who want me to pray for them so they can "get a job" or " get more money". Pleeeez stop!
