There's societal inertia.

This means that social change only occurs very slowly, and people who deviate from the norm (people who are either very bad or very good or merely very different) will tend to come under increasing pressure to either return to the norm or face society's wrath.

And that can seem very much like justice, depending on your viewpoint. :-)

P.S. I like the "Judge Judy" answer best.

Yes, JUST US, and nobody else.

Sorry, it just reminded me of an old joke. Seriously though justice is usually in the eye of the beholder. Meaning, a person feels they were justified in some way, for doing what ever they did or did not do. This is where morality steps in. Some people are just flat immoral and or amoral. Then there people that are moral in the sense they know right from wrong.
The people who have good morals, and the descent's to know right from wrong and still commits a crime are considered most foul. The others, people who don't know right from wrong, are still criminals once they cross the line, and commit a senseless act against an other person(s). This is where Law steps in. The laws that govern the land and it's people. We all have the responsibility to Obey The Law. And so this is how we are able to obtain justice.
After that we can only pray. God has the final word.

Justice is a man made concept...we created it
to create a safer living condition. But think about it,
nature's law of "There are no rules" have predated
our definitions of "justice". Nature doesn't punish
a tiger for pouncing on an gazelle, it's just nature
doing it's thing, neither good or bad. Humans
came around and created it's definitions of good
and bad. But really, did nature ever say those
were it's rules? Dinosaurs killed because they needed to eat, it
wasn't good or evil it's just nature, we live in the
same existence they did and live under the same conditions.
The only law in nature it seems is that there are
no rules, there are only REACTIONS to ACTIONS.
Man came around and created the concept of "justice"
for the sake of it's own self-preservation.

Justice is only available for those who have economic or political power and then it's always biased in their favour. As for the majority of the worlds population, the word and spirit behind it is a myth

sometimes, but it's random and it's rare.

P.S. don't be fooled by people who call the law ' justice ', it has nothing to do with justice, it is only the law.
