Fear of dying alone is definetly in the top 10. But seriously its really just society. Even though the man proposes, many a time the lady will say "where do you see this relationship going."Or who knows he may think he have met "the one" that he's really going to spend the rest of his life with, though the divorce rate in the United states is unacceptable. It funny to think that most people who get married think it will work out with the best intentions; statistics prove that it is harder than it seems.

To create an inheritance for their offspring, to create a stable and comfortble lifestyle for themselves and their families and to claim the rights to intimacy and legal unity with their spouses that do not exist with others outside of the marriage. These are some major reasons why men marry.

i used to know why i wanted to be married.
settle down have a family or atleast a signifigant other to come home to after work.
to have someone to spoil and baby and sometimes be babied.
romanctic dinners, outings, and etc.
now after reading answers and have dated liers, cheaters, and deceivers. i think it was all a pipe dream.
