There are two possibilities for your post-prandial depression (sleep after eating). Normally people do get a little sleepy after eating, and this is normal - the energy utilized in digestion usually makes most animals sluggish after a big meal. However, there are conditions that can worsen this. Postprandial hypoglycemia comes to mind. This is when your blood sugar drops significantly not long after you eat, which can easily cause bouts of fatigue. This is not that uncommon, and should be discussed with your doctor.

Another possibility is that you are eating something that you are allergic too. This could be something simple, like milk or wheat or corn products. It's usually hard to tell. Try different types of food for your meal (like eggs instead of cereal) to see if this is the case.

Also, you might want to try skipping the meal entirely - it's possible that you will get sleepy without eating breakfast. In which case, this has nothing to do with the food at all.

After you eat your digestive system gets to work and uses energy. That is why people after a good meal tend to be more sleepy.

Your case sounds quite extreme... if you eat and live healthy and this pattern continues, maybe you should see a doctor :)

because most of your blood and energy is being used up to digest your food so there is less in ur brain which makes u sleepy.

the blood goes to your stomach to digest food, therefore leaving your brain with less blood, thus the tiredness. Also, more energy is being used to digest the food therefore less energy for you to do other stuff.

Maybe you should AGAIN review your diet!
Secondly ,you should strictly refrain from sleeping after eating if it is such a big prob.
VERY OFTEN THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE MIND AND NOT THE BODY.
