Sachin Tendulkar may be considered the best batsman of India but right now he is not a reliable player. So, I would say that the best Indian batsman is Rahul Dravid because is reliable.

Honestly Yaar, has to be Sachin Tendulker. He is the best batsman in India and in the world. His records are more than any player in the world. Centuries, Runs, Strike Rates, Wickets(performed well as bowler too) Well Sachin Tendulker is the best batsman in India.

Well this can be answered as who are the best batsman of india. Beacuse india has produced great btasman such as Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguly,laxsman, Sunil gavaskar, wadekar, kapil dev, and many mor greats of the past. If you can single a person out then it is because of your personal liking to that person.

I personally feel each batsman in the above list are peole of a seperate kind. and cannot be compared with others.

its none other than rahul dravid the wall of indian cricket team.he is the most consistent and dependable player for india.if rahul dravid hits a century india is 80% sure to win.where else can u find such a good player.

Tendulkar became old. Doni not playing well. Dravid is only good/standard batsman now.
