If your body is tired and your mind won't shut down, then that would be insomnia. I have it and that's what it's like for me. Ambien really helps. The lowest dose that I take is 2.5(half of a 5mg.). It doesn't give me a headache and I just need the little help to fall asleep. Sorry, I'm rambling. Talk to your doctor about your depression, too. That's part of the cause.

If you are up doing stuff or if you eat right before bed or if you drink coffee or tea or soda or something else with caffeine-that could be why you can't sleep. If you lay in bed all night and still can't sleep-then you probably have insomnia. Get with your doctor and tell him/her what's going on-they should be able to help you decide for sure and what treatment might help. They could also help with the depression-it's possible one could come from the other.

according to a report i seen in newspaper, sleep less than 7 hours has already considered insomnia.but i think most of us have done that.
howeveri think streses is the main causes for ur insomnia.
so what you can do is release stress.
my recomendation is try some exercise.this will make your body feel tired and get sleep easily during night.

stress is the biggest cause of insomnia, the best way is to get the cause of ur stress out of the way. get plenty of exercise..swimming is the best. swim for atleast 2hrs.
u do ve insomnia, if after ur nap u still dont feel refreshed.

yoga helps. best way is to talk it out with ur partner
remember that every one has troubles

if u think of ur troubles it will bcome double
if u laugh at it, it will become bubbles

insomnia is the term for not being able to sleep on a regular basis, so yes, and depression can cause it. or vice versa, so see a doctor.

it could also be an inherited trait. Does anyone else inyour family stay up. Have you been like this long (years) or is this a recent thing. If its been years its probably a family thing. If its recent its probably from something happening in your life that keeps your mind and body running on high.
