Cool! I was 13 and in my talent show I sang "Only Hope" Its a song written by Jonathan Foreman (Lead singer/guitarist of Switchfoot) Its a beautiful peice of music and I love it.
It was REALLY challenging for me because my voice is really deep for a girl but it wouldnt be hard for someone with a high voice.
Its a very beautiful song. Its technically "christian" but its not a churchy, preachy type song.
When you hear it, you wouldnt know it was christian.,
NOTE: To Marcus W. -- I am 13 and I Was born in 1992. So she wasnt nessesarily born in '93

Stay away from contemporary pop acts... NO BRITNEY SPEARS, JESSICA SIMPSON, etc..
Stay away from DISNEY...
People go crazy over songs they can relate to at talent shows. Go for the oldies or at the 80s. She was born in 1993, so she should sing a song within 10 years... say 1983.
I got it... Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

After so many seasons of "American Idol", I would submit that "Over the Rainbow" would be a good choice. Very pretty melody, lyrics of hope, and builds to a nice climactic ending. And, everybody seems to like this song. Good Luck!!!

How about something from the Little Mermaid? Ariel has some great songs such as "Part of Your World".

Maybe she could do one of the songs from one of Charlotte Church's earlier albums. Charlotte was about that age when she recorded them.
