Is it really that important to you? What do you think?

I lived without a cell phone in total peace for 58 years and I don't have to carry one today. When I see all the people running off the road while talking on their cell phone, and they have children in their car, much less could hurt tons of other people not in their car, I just silently pray for them. I think people talking in public with others hearing what is being said speaks volumes about people's lack of boundaries today. While we know people are assuming our identities, people continue talking on the phone with potential ID thieves listening! We need to protect ourselves, not make it easier for the thieves. The only reason I am going to get one is for my safety when on the road, and I've driven millions of miles without a problem, but today's world is sooooo crazy and violent I may need it to even save somebody else's life while they are travelling. I think people have little independence today, which is a sign of our times. History does repeat itself and there will come a time when they discover they can take care of themselves without a cell phone.

I've made it the first 30 years of my life without an electronic leash...er, I mean...without a "cell phone". Haha...
So to answer your other questions: it's not important to me in the least. In fact, I DON'T want one. Cell phones tend to be annoying and many of their owners tend to be obnoxious. I have a phone in my house...that's just fine.

Yes absolutely. I don't have one. and I don't plan to get one anytime soon. I can see where they are useful but I think they are way overused and worse the lack of manners is appalling.
People need to turn off the ring tones when they are in public places and just let it go to voice mail. It is RUDE to answer your phone in the middle of a conversation with someone else.
Unless the call is to say "I'm in Labor come get me" or to tell you someone died you really should take the call later.
Anyone who is friends enough to call knows your schedules well enough to time the call better .... is it really necessary to talk about every little thing.

Important? Air, water and food. In that order.

After that it is all vanity.
