firstly i hate da idea of a lip ring so my advise: dont do it

I think it depends on the shape of your lips really.
Fuller lips look stunnin with a centre ring.. while thinner lips look better with a ring to the side.
Anyone who states "You'll never get a decent job with facial piercings" or "I'd never hire anyone with facial piercings" is narrow minded and lacks the conviction to look beyond the image. I've had facial piercings of all kinds for the past 13 years, and it's not once hindered my job prospects.

Some of my friends have lip rings and most of them on guys are in the center, but I think both options are pretty hot as long as your talking about an actual ring and not a stud. Those aren't that attractive.

I would think he is a bit of a saddo who is trying to prove something. Also I would think he is severly reducing his chances with the ladies. Also I would think if he ever got into a fight he risks being severly disfigured for life.
But if you want to go and do it, don't let me put you off. I used to have a nose ring back in the 1980s.

personally ive never kissed a guy with a lip or tongue ring,,,id go for top off center though same on either side is cool you dont see that as often but whatever floats your boat

In the centre looks better cos on the side it looks like you haven't wiped you mouth after eating.

have alot of male friends who are pierced and tattooed, they tend to have a big ring in the centre although one does have it at the side, both look hot, pierced guys are v.sexy in my opinion!

I think to one side is better. I've got a nose stud and have worn it to every interview I've had (I got all three jobs) I openly asked what their policy was on piercings and tattoos and adhered to what they told me. Employers have to be careful these days with being judgemental, so to all those who said things like 'you'll be unemployable' er,wrong!

If Nature would want people to have lip rings, people would be born with them.
I find them extremely stupid, unaesthetic and highly unattractive, and in my humble opinion no one with a working brain will get one.

dotn know why the other answers talk about jobs etc :s
but lip rings are sexy on guys - my man has one in the centre.
studs are a definite no no for me though :p
