I can't claim to speak for all Americans but personally I hold the Australian people in a very high esteem. As a nation they have been a good and trusted ally of America and I can think of no other nation that I would rather have at my side in a fight. As a people there has always been an affinity between Americans and Australians that allows us to relate to one another. They strike me as a good and decent people. I trust them and in this world brother that says a lot.

We love the Aussies. Having been to australia, most of our best stereotypes play out beautifullly in reality. Aussies are fun, laid back, funny, kind and generally extroverted people. I've never met a group of folks more likely to talk with you on the streets than an Aussie. And damn, the meat pies and Emu bitters were absolutely delicious! Though they do tend to be lousy drivers...not knowing the even what side of the road to drive on. :)

Can't say that I have met many(Australians) but there is one that lives in my apartment building and I only run into him once in a blue moon.
I think Australians OK.
The only problem I would have concerning visiting Australia is that they seem to have an awful lot of venomous things.
eensy weensy octopi that kill kill you.
Aggressive ants that are pissed off all the time and will chase you, bite you, and send you to emergency room.

All sorts of venomous...dangerously venomous things down there.

I live in seattle....no stinging things here to speak of.
Bees and wasps don't count.

Great place to visit. Too bad it is such a long flight. Plus Aussies always seem to be pretty strong American allies.

We love the Aussies. Our countries have been good pals for quite some time. And I don't know what I'd do without my AC/DC
