I used to weigh close to 200lbs and now I weight about 140lbs. I've become so lazy since my best friend moved away and I don't have any friends anymore...kinda depressed about it too. We used to go to the gym, swimming and walking together. Now I have no one to do those things with. I've put on about 10 pounds and I'm scared I may gain more. How can I get myself motivated to start working out again? And would you sun tan at a pool by urself? I feel like a loser doing things by myself when I see groups of people together.

You should try to go out and find some new friends to hang out with. Go to the gym and you will find some one who wants to excersise with you or go out to a club and just start talking to other people. Who know you may find a new best friend that like to do all the things that you like to do. I know you might be missing your friend but dont let that be an excuse to start eating too much again. Dont feel like a looser because you are not the only one with that problem.

You already have the motivation- if you don't get out there and walk, you'll gain more weight. Tell yourself this every morning and you'll be motivating yourself.

Get an MP3 player (they're so cheap these days) and put a heap of songs onto it and walk to the beat or else dance around the house doing housework. Both are very good excercise and don't forget to eat healthily too ;) This is very simple: don't put junk in your shopping trolley!

Well, becoming motivated is a very personal thing. You have to decide what your goals are and do whatever it takes to accomplish them. Swimming is one of the best forms of exercising. And if it makes you uncomfortable to tan at a pool by yourself, listen to your ipod/mp3 player and block out the world!

its okay to feel like a loser, i feel that way all the time, but no harm is done, its time for you to become independent and first things first...start eating at subway, look at that guy jared, he did it and so can you, also, you could start going to the local bar and hanging out after hours just to keep that loser mentality, in a couple of weeks after enough subs have been consumed and a few lonely nights at the pubs drowning in your self sorrow...voila, your weight is gone and you have learned to do things on your own...no need to thank me, take it easy

Hire, like, a hitman or something to threaten you with beatings and possibly death if you don't work out enough.
