Of course I think it's time to do something..I've given up my car. I recycle everything...I try as best I can...but look around..do you see many people doing that much?

Yes I do. I have a minor in sociology, so I have dealt with this issue (it's a social problem!). I don't think people realize how serious it really is, and there really isn't any education out there, so most people are unaware of what Global Warming even means. I think the only way we will be able to tackle this issue is if we raise awareness, and if we have an administration/President who is willing to face it, and use his/her power to influence other world leaders as well. We as citizens can only do so much; this is something that the government needs to be willing to pay attention to. The war is such a focus that other issues like this one get overlooked. President Bush directs everyone's attention to the war, almost to cover up the fact that nothing is really being done about global warming.
I'm glad you said something. The more people like you, the more it will get out there. :)

The easy solution is for the rest of the world to ban US products whre emission levels exceed their quota. EG anything with US stell etc

Europe is sick to the back teeth of asking America to buck it's ideas up about its emmisions but as always it falls on death ears.
America is only out for it's self and not the bigger picture.

I don't think Global Warming will matter much if this crisis in the middle east keeps up. there may be no Globe to warm.
