According to Deming Headlight Newspaper in Deming, New Mexico. U.S. Border Patrol is screening Natl Guard troops deployed to NM to secure U.S. borders with Mexico. BP does background checks then says troops are a threat to Homeland Security and sends them home. Female SGT holds herself hostage in Comfort Inn July 12, 2006 and threatens suicide. This is true and really happened. Troops respond by saying, oh it's ok to send us to Iraq to get killed but we can't complete our mission at home. What say you. Since when does the U.S. Border Patrol have higher authority than our Troops or President for that matter. Bush deployed them and if they have clearance to go to Iraq and other parts of the world why can't they secure our border with Mexico. I want ANSWERS!

well actually being a Border Patrol Agent and a veteran I can answer this..in order to become a BP Agent you have to go through a more extensive background checkthan to become a NG member..the fact is that a BP Agent is a federal Agent and does have more authority than a memebr of teh military..we are sworn to uphold the law while a service member is swornto protect the nation....I would personally allow any NG to help..I have been working with the NG for the last few nights, and they are helping out but the BP and the president have tie dtheir hands, I actually have to protect the NG and be right next to them while they are in the field, stupid use of manpower.

but Deming is tying to make a name for themselves, they are causing me more work and Iam at another station...throughout the Border Patrol the supervisor's are all trying to make names for themselves by adding new rules, and 2nd line supervisors are too far up their butt to tell them it is a stupid idea..the union is working hard to curtail these guys, but it is taking time.

the BP doesnt need the help in the field as much as we could use the help in the ofice, write your congressmen, it takes 3-4 hours of paperwork to depot 1 person..so in other words if I go inthe field and arrest 4 guys my 1st hour, and all 4 need to be deported it will take meat least 12 hours of paperwork to finish...all that time I am not inthe field and more are coming through..if I could just drop atthe station an dhave someone else do the paperwork to deport them I could get right back inthe field and make more a rrests...these people would basicall just need to have office and bilingual abilities, almost like any social worker, it could be a good paying job in teh border towns to help the local economy and created jobs

janet has no longer some thing to assert i favor to hearken to or study. i imagine mexico fingers over our criminals at cases. however i experience mexico is more effective a probability. many years a go 100 and fifty some thousand illegals changed into stopped crossing illegally. on the on the spot maximum folk of illegals changed into from the mid east posing as mexicans. if i ws the mexican authorities or mexican citizen i'd be fairly ticked off about this. if i keep in mind properly it changed into huckabee who suggested this even as he changed into operating for the presidency.
