I think that he will. If not, he should.
He is one of my favorite actors. He an offbeat leading man but a real actor. He defines acting.
Like him not only in Pirates, but Edward Scissorhands, Benny & Joon, Ed Wood, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, and Charlie And the Chocolate Factory.

I love Depp, but I would be upset if he won an award for such Hollywood trite. He's had the opportunity to play so many different characters; and has taken the time to make each one his *own*... and wasn't recognized for most of them...
Leave it to Hollywood to take the one crap thing he does and make him a legend.

No. No one ever gets a nomination for a sequel. Maybe a Golden Globe.

I don't think so. It's unlikely that an actor gets nominated twice for the same role.

Not for this one. He was great in the first Pirates.
I liked him but something was lacking. We saw too much of that Octupus head guy.

Honestly, no. His acting was superb, don't get me wrong, but he didn't have an Oscar-caliber performance. If he does get a nomination, chances are he won't win.

I doubt it. It would be great if he did, but they will probably save his Oscar for one of his more art-housey movies.
