A friend of mine, the owner of several horses, told me once she used the same shampoo on herself as she did on her horses. She said it was great. Mane and Tail products were originally developed for horses and considering that horse hair is 3x thicker than people hair and it looks so strong and beautiful I would say it works. It doesn't actually make hair grow faster but stronger and since strong hair doesn't break or create split ends you end up with longer fuller looking hair which gives it the illusion of growing faster.

My sister had a bottle of the Mane and Tail Shampoo once (I stole some, sorry sis.)
Other than the most yummy smell, I didn't notice much difference. It didn't make my hair grow faster, it wasn't much shinier or softer or all those things they advertise.
It's just advertising.
If you're looking for soft, smooth hair, I'd recommend Dove. I love that stuff!
And shy away from Pantene; it leaves gunk in your that can cause damage in the long run. My hair dresser whacked me when I told her I tried it, lol.
If you want your hair to grow faster, then you'd better sign up for a new scalp. Sorry, not much you can do to change your genes.
I found that taking a once daily Biotin vitamin supplement (available at drug stores) really helped my nairs be strong and not break and made a little difference in my hair.
Good luck!

Ive heard of it and used it. I do not anymore this was in high school. Anyway, No I did not see a difference. And hair grows from the inside out, not the outside in. No shampoo in the world will make your hair grow faster. Only a healthy diet and vitamins.

I've used it before and depending on your hair type it may work for you. I have thick, naturally curly hair and it doesn't work for me. If you are interested in growing thicker hair, try a vitamin like Oil of Olay's for hair and nail growth or take a multi-vitamin.
They do make specially formulated professional shampoos that can thicken your hair and help it grow. See your stylist and ask their advice on the right product for your hair type.

I have used it many times. To me, it's just like any other shampoo and conditioner. It did nothing special for me. Personally, now I use Panteen ProV. But my step mother uses Nioxin.. she loves it! Good Luck

Yes and it stinks and made my hair rough and tangley and gross. So we use it on our dog now. If it's made to make HORSE hair strong, it's meant to make HORSE hair strong, not humans. That's why there are hair salons that sell high quality products if you want your hair to be high quality. Even drug store shampoos are better for your hair because they are actually meant for humans.
