Nope.
It is mearly a tax clasification.
No charitable organization can survive unless it makes a profit.
However, They do have limits on how much they can be in the red.
They cannot accumilate cash. They must spend it.

YES. According to the irs it's called a 501(c)3 status. Meaning they are not in business to conduct business for a profit to distribute to shareholders.

everyone that is in the red cross is a volunteer. they work for free. and if people didn't give them money and blood then they wouldn't be able to help others who are in need.

i think they are a subsistent organisation-they take just enough to get what is needed to run it. Best answer goes to the guy above me-he has research backing his answer up.

i dont think so.. no one works for free.. they must make something.. if not then it must be gov't funded.. im not really sure lol
