Conservatives say we should give up our liberty's. They try so hard to make us give it up they try scare tactics.

What people don't understand is if we give up just a little liberty at first, the government will continue to take our liberties slowly until BAM!! it's 1984 (the book)

If we let uncle SAM take our liberties it will never end. It will start off them having to monitor so called "terrorists". Then it will move on to illegal gun owners. Then move on to people convicted of assault, then people convicted of larceny, then people with unpaid traffic fines, to rowdy college kids, then as low as the guy who forgot to fill out the proper paper work to put a deck on his house.

If we give an inch, you can be sure the conservatives will take a mile.

Absolutely not. The label "terrorist" is too flexible and too easily applied to whatever "enemy" is chosen for the day. There is no war on terrorism, that's pure BS used to scare citizens into allowing their rights to be taken away. Same with the so-called wars on drugs, poverty, etc. It's nonsense used to spark emotions, not sound policy with logical plans and measurable outcomes.

If you aren't a terrorist or a traitor working with a terrorist, you should be willing to help your government. Being killed by a terrorist would REALLY curtail all of your liberties, wouldn't it? Think about it, Einstein.

No...doing so would be a terrorist's victory by disrupting our society, by getting us to change the very institution they attack in the first place.
