I really didn't think anything of it. After all, acting is all about playing people who ARE NOT YOU. So why should it be a "big deal"?

i thought, 'this is different. i never thought Jake Gyllenhaal would play gay or even a cowboy.' he was very good at playing the role and he should have won an award 4 that. although he and Heath did win an MTV Movie Award 4 Best Kiss. I was rooting 4 them.

To whomever said he was gay, that's not a known fact. It's just a character. Someone has to do it. He made a whole hell of alot of money in doing so. I personally have not seen this movie, but hey, whatever makes him happy. Doesn't matter to me what role he plays.

When I found out, I was really excited to see him play something other than his usual dark, weird teenager role. Yeah, the movie was overrated...it ran really slow...but I thought that him and Heath Ledger were phenomenal in their roles and it definitely gave them more of a backbone as actors. Bravo to both of them!

I always knew that boy was gay,the movie just confirmed it! Why would you want to act like your gay in a movie let alone a gay cowboy? That just goes to show that Hollywood has went to an all new low in immoral values. But I was deeply disturbed by both heath and jake. I can't even watch a knights tale now without viewing heath ledger as a gay guy. I don't have anything against gay people as long as they don't bother me with their sexuallity or is being forced on me by the mainstream media.

then when i found out who he was gonna be acting gay with i started laughing even more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
true story i did start laughing!
also i was hoping that this one role of acting as a gay cowboy wouldn't turn Jake and Heath gay in real life. and i still hope it didn't. cuz otherwise i would be asking why are all the hot or cute guys in the world GAY!!!!!!!!? but yeah thats how i reacted. i still haven't seen that movie yet but i wanna see it still!

I really appreciate that two of the sexiest manly-man actors were used in the leading rolls. Speaks of the acting ability and the courage of both of those men.
