Bill Gates is donating most of his fortune to a charity foundation under his name...it's not for business investment but more for social investment...he's rich enough to survive even if he had donated 90% of his fortune !!

Bill gates back in the late 90's donated $30 billion dollars of Microsoft stock to his foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. His investment company, Cascade Investment LLC oversees his whole portfolio including his personal and his foundations money, which is slowly divesting itself of Microsoft Stock to be more diversified. Gates is investing in many broad areas, one such area is Ethanol and was an early investor in Pacific Ethanol and currently owns a 25% stake.!
