Roger,

Given the risks to benefits ration, I do NOT think that legalizing steroids is a good course of action. Well... wait... steroids ARE legal... but only by prescription... but that's semantics... and not addressing your question.

If you get a chance... see if you can find a copy of Morgan Spurlock's TV Show '30 Days' ... and specifically pay attention to the episone on the 'Fountain of Youth'.

Morgan is the documentarian who put together 'Supersize Me' and has applied the same 30-day paradigm change to a variety of subjects... one being steroid and hormone therapy to achieve a better body...

Within 14 days of the subject (NOT Morgan this time) going on the cocktail of muscle developing, or what the doctor calls "youth inducing" drugs and supplements... his temper is through the roof, he's aggressive, his liver is showing signs of abnormal function, and his motility (sperm count) went, LITERALLY, from 40,000,000 to next to Zero...

... in 2 weeks...

Believe me... this experiment did NOT last the full 30 days... and this was physician developed AND supervised.

Imagine what making it available to the general public would do... what it would do to the teenager who wanted to make the football team, or impress the girl... what it would do to the adult who wants a quick-fix to get his body in shape.

Dangerous stuff. Dangerous indeed.

Yes, but if you have health trouble using them don't ask the government to come to your rescue. No free hospitals. If you become angry because of using them and hurt somebody you are responsible.

Freedoms come with responsibilities.
