What type of music do you enjoy listening to? Are you interested in the meaningfulness of the lyrics or perhaps just the melodious accompaniment. Would you care to be more specific?

I usually don't listen to music while trying to fall asleep.... but when I am stressed, I like to listen to this CD a friend gave me. It is just the sound of rain and thunder. Very soft and soothing. really helps melt the stress away.

I AGREE WITH THE PINK FLOYD SONGS, BUT ELTON JOHNS "YOUR SONG" CAME TO THE TOP OF MY HEAD WHEN I READ THE QUESTION.( I'm almost 53 and that was mine and my boyfriends song when I was 15-16 and still mellows me out)
That makes me remember my boyfriend before him, whom I think I still love to this day, our song was Led Zepplins "Thank You song" . I think I could listen to it over and over to fall asleep.

If the sun refused to shine...I would still be loving you
When mountains crumble to the sea...there would still be you and me........
