Its not that the insect will not bite your roommate,you are probably allergic to the bite while your roommate is"nt.

your smell, seriously, is not that you have a bad odor is just that some insects feel attracted to a certain smell, in this case, your personal smell, a mix with sweat, feromones, etc.

no offense OK, maybe your bed or you is dirty. My advice clean yourself well and your bed, your pillow. Insects usually bite dirty things.
