Try Costco, Target or Walmart. All generally sell them around back to school time for pretty cheap.

First off, thumbs up for not wanting to ruin your instrument on the field. I've seen far too many good instruments get totally trashed during marching season. I'd try wall mart or Sam's club first, they sell a cheep brand of instruments that actually last pretty well, for about $100. I bought a trumpet from Sam's club, and it's pretty good for a no name brand. If you don't want to go that route, I'd suggest trying pawn shops. Check their return policy before you buy anything, and if they'll let you return it and you find one you like buy it, but take it to a repair shop to have it checked out. I bought a flute at a pawn shop once, and when I went to have it looked at, it turns out that it had been dropped and repaired really badly. You can also try eBay, but I don't really trust buying instruments from them, sometimes they are in really bad condition too. And if all else fails, talk to your band director. He/she doesn't want your instrument to get ruined either and will let you check out one of the schools (unless they are all checked out for some reason).

you can try Ebay and get one of the chepa ones they have, im not sure if they are under 100 but you can probly get one, and then jstu tune it yoruselft since it will be all out of wack even for marching, also you oudl try pawn shops and clasified ads. good luck with that,

Also any plastic clarinet or resonite clarinet is perfert for marching.

Ebay can sometimes have good clarinets for cheap, however, you won't find a new clarinet for under 200 usually.

Believe it or not, Walmart's brand "First Act" has proven themsleves to be one of the most reliable and affordable names in musical instruments, and check out ebay.

Try your newspaper classifieds! They work wonders, good deals all over the place. You could also look out for estate sales that may have instruments up for sale. Good luck , I hope you find a good deal!
