When I watched it for the first time, someone described it as being "about nothing, and about everything."
It's profound, and it's beautiful. I give it a 10.

I thought Garden State was a great film. It ranks very high on my all-time favorites. I thought Natalie Portman was absolutely lovable in it. I love her free spirit. She reminds me of myself actually. I want to do things that Ive never done before in my life and embrace everyday in the way she does in the movie. She doesnt care what anyone thinks of her, she just is who she is. I know shes just a character. But her spirit represent so much to me. I feel like the love the two characters share was unbreakable, and it means alot for someone to give up everything they are shooting for to be with a person that puts them on cloud nine just being in their presence. I want a love like that. Garden State definatelly get my stamp of approval, I recommend it to everyone.

That is one of the best movies i have ever watched. Its a movie that just makes you think about life... as cheesy as that sounds.
Definite 10/10

It was a bit slow and shadowy. I would have liked a little more intimacy and a little less crazy to make the story better. Try watching "Interstate" to see what I mean.

I liked it. It was different from the other movies that were out at that time. I'd give it a solid three stars.

Yes.
Its one of those films not a lot of younger people talk about.
Id say it would attract more of a college scene.
Its pretty good for a little humor and romance.

i give it about a 6 out of 10.. i liked it, but ive seen better. but overall worth watching

I watched it with high expectations, and was disappointed.
So I give it a 6 out of 10
It was very slow...but at least it was unique.

Its an ok movie, I would see it again. It reminds me of the book The Stranger.
