The bigger can be made into smaller and therefore shared with more than a single smaller.

It really depends and yes this is a VERY general question. I think both ways in different situations. Say you were working out to gain muscle. Then the bigger the better! But if you have some portable electric device, say, an iPod, smaller is definately greater.

Smaller the greater. If you rush to finish work it won't be good. If you take your time and break the down the assignment into pieces it is always better.

Smaller is greater, definitely in science. When you master something at a minute level, you can replicate it on a large scale easily and with wonderful results. Nanotechnology is an ideal example.
