We are renovating our home and the old pine wood walls had some holes. Prior to painting we accidentally filled with silicone tub caulking instead of the correct wood filler--we have tried everything from paint stripper to sanding and cannot get the silicone caulking off. Do you have any ideas to remove it so we can continue to paint and the paint not just roll off the silicone?

Try going to manual scraping. Otherwise, you're going to need to try to paint over - attempt primer first. Might have to go to oil based to get a grip on it.

Let the caulking cure and pull it out just like a booger. The residue will have to be wiped off with whatever cleaning solvent is called for on the caulking tube.

Don't remove it. Push it in further then use the correct wood filler over it. Good Luck

No, But i did try and many times to eat soup with a spoon, especially if a soup is thick (you can thicken the soup effectively by adding some flour). It takes more time, so I enjoy it longer

first check to see if the cauking is paintable. if not check tube for solvent type. or just clean out as much as you can and cover with the wood filler.should work and stay in place for years.
