I'm a sixteen year old girl with an unusually large chest. I can't find any bathing suits! I'm athleticly built so I'm still slender. I don't want to wear a one piece because they make me feel bulky and overprotected. The only problem is my chest! I can't find any two piece bathing suits that cover me well enough...so I hate going swimming. I'm afraid to order via internet incase I don't like the way it looks (typical 16 year old picky-ness). Does anybody have an idea of where I could find a proper bikini? I'm sick of feeling skanky anytime I want to swim!

Even XLs are too small.

I have your exact problem - i'm athleticly slender with a large chest (34/36 C/D, or a large/xl) so i need a large top..but then smaller bottoms(sm or m). Your best bet is to find separate pieces. I find even tankini's don't do the job because they have a shelf bra that does't even have a large enough "shelf" so to speak. Brand like Roxy and Billabong make their tops a lot smaller that they say (a large actually fits like a small or something..). I'm 22 and i have A LOT of bikinis because everytime i find a bathingsuit that solves my problem a have to buy it..and there are a lot more styles these days than when i was 16..so there are a lot of options fo ryou out there. I order most of my bikinis from Victoria's Secret (their large tops fit well and are very supportive..not skanky), also Old Navy sells seperates, in large sizes so they usually fit well too (but i find the fabric is kind of really stretchy which isn't very supportive. American Eagle and places like that also sell seprates so you can mix and match the sizes. I find that the best type for large breasts are the bikinis that aren't on a sliding string..the most supportive and least skanky are the ones that are attathced in the middle, and tie halter style.
Hope i helped, good luck!
P.S now is a good time to get cheap bathing suits because they are sadly on sale because it's "end of season".

My advice is to get a tankini, they are great on any type of body form! If you don't know what they are, it's like the tank/halter top and then the bikini bottoms. Trust me, I'm sure that will help. Btw, there are also some great one pieces that aren't so limiting, such as the ones that don't have sides (only the boobs, stomach, and butt part is lined). Well good luck on going bathing suit shopping!

It sounds like you're looking for two things: support and coverage. Most bikinis at the stores are super teeney-weeney, and most one-pieces are just plain ugly. (I looked all over for a one-piece, and it took me 4 stores before I found a decent one.)

I would suggest skipping the ordinary department stores, and try a swimsuit store. You could check Yahoo white pages for the nearest location to ya.

When you go in, look for a female sales associate who has a similar body type to you and ask for her help finding a suit with support. I'm sure she'll be happy to help!

Good luck!!!!

P.S. Don't take this the wrong way, but I might even try a store made for larger girls (they do carry slimmer sizes) but their suits will have the "support" you need.

If you're sick of feeling skanky, why are your trying to wear a 2 piece? Especially if your boobs are big? You're asking one thing, but trying to do another! I've got large boobs myself and wearing a two piece is doable, but I choose not to. If you must wear a 2 piece, shop in the big women's sections at stores and not your normal girl sections. Or, try wearing a one piece that has exposes your belly and back but is still connected.

1st of all, def. buy a halter. Best support in a swimsuit! Second, I'd suggest going to a store where they specialize in swimsuits. Don't go to a department store! A lot of swimsuits are coming out that are sized based on your bra size, so if you can find one that works for your bra size...you're good to go! Good luck...I've got the same problem and just haven't gotten out to the swimsuit shops yet.

buy separate pieces, if you have to...buy a plus size top, normal bottom that match.
