Ha ha ha! my sister(who plays the oboe) and me (trumpet) were having this huge debate about whose instrument soundz better! I don't really care who wins, but just wanna know!

I played the trumpet, and my son played the oboe. I like them both, but I have to go with trumpet.

Depends on who's playing really, if the oboe squeaks and the trumpet is missing partials then they are both equally horrendous. But I'm going to assume that you are equally good and say the oboe, you get the right player on one of those beautiful oboe pieces and it's just amazing. Tho if you really want to sound good switch to flute. ;-)

It is hard to say it depends on the musician..I played the oboe in school and I could barf everytime I hear one..so I say TRUMPET..and sorry sis

I'm partial to the trumpet. I had a brother who played the trumpet. Have you ever listened to Chris Botti? He's awesome, you'd love it.
