Hate answering a question with a question but yours unfortunately calls for it....Why do you have a need to be popular? And if you did become popular, would you be willing to deal with the sacrifices such as the continual stress of staying on top, meeting everyone else's standards, compromising your own personal beliefs? Answer those questions first, then decide how important it is for you to be popular.

who cares if ur popular w/ gurls im not popular w/ guys and i dont really care but the best thing you can do is be ur self and dont try to be some 1 you aint oh by the way dont try to show off in front of lots of gurls thats the worst thing you can do

Im guessing you're in your younger teen years by your spelling and the fact that you're asking this question, which is perfectly fine.
Really, its all about being nice and MATURE. Not something that will happen overnight, but something you should definitely work on.

that depends how you look at it...more importantly how people look at you. noone likes a wannabe...so i guess be yourselve...if "yourself" is popular material...if not then you gotta deal with it
