see my previous ? regarding abortion.regardless of your political, religious, moral or ethical background is preventing conception just as "bad" as abortion? (please note the quotations i am not placing blame or otherwise, i want as many view points as possible)....many believe (and just not Christians') that sex is for the sole purpose of multiplying. Sexual Pleasure is a subnote. what do you think? is preventing the conception of a child like playing God? on the other hand if contrceptives were non existant what would our population be...10 maybe 20 Billion....answer honestly. this is a serious question.

i dont believe they're a form of abortion. these only prevent pregnancy, not killing the already-conceived-life. these are actually tools for population management, of course, partners should both agree on which type of contraceptives would be better for them. Note: am speaking in the premise of a marital relationship, not sex outside marriage.

i am a Christian and i believe that sex in marriage is designed by God. it is not only for purpse of multipying. it is supposed to be enjoyed by both partners.

No.
And sex for the sole purpose of multiplying? I think that applies only to animals (and plants; e.g. Dates). For us, we engage in sex when, for example, (1) we express our love with our partners; (2) we celebrate, for example, anniversaries; etc... There are many good reasons why. To prevent unagreed upon pregnancy, that's when contraceptives come in. I learned that the church rather prefer the calendar method from other means. But calendar method is still a form of contraception, is it not? It also suggests that you're not prohibited to have sex while you don't intend to bear another child.
Adultery, with or without contraception, is rather a grave sin lol.

no. contraceptives are a way to prevent a baby from forming. It is not abortion because there isn't a baby. I am a christian but i don't think it is playing god to prevent conception. we have so many people on this earth that the only way to control it is contraceptives.

No, contraceptives are not a form of abortion. If the female egg is not fertilized by the males sperm then there is no baby. If you have an abortion then there is a baby and you are killing it by aborting it from the mothers uterus.

Contraceptives are not a form of abortion, they pervent it. Their purpose does not end a life that has already begun to take form.
