G.A.T.E. (Gifted and Talented Education) is an academic program that concentrates on process rather than content. The G.A.T.E. program emphasizes flexibility, discovery, investigation, and creativity while developing higher level thinking skills of analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. The program does not focus on “right” answers or the amount of information memorized. G.A.T.E. is an interactive class, managed as a pull out program from the student’s “regular” classroom. G.A.T.E. students spend at least 150 minutes per week in the G.A.T.E. classroom (broken into two time periods on different days and times).

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an All-India Examination conducted by the seven Indian Institutes of Technology and the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, on behalf of the National Coordinating Board - GATE, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.

This should help if you want to do an M.Tech. All the very best. GATE is tough stuff man.

It could be a couple of things in computer science. It could be a sloppy notation for gateway, but more likely is a logic gate.

A transistor is one of the basic building blocks of the computer and it includes the hardware for digital logic gates that are extensively used.

The concept is used in programming also. Basic addition is done in binary. Gates handle the AND logic to add these
