Unfortunately the porcelain has worn off through the years and is down to the cast iron.I'll bet the tub looks grey.Have it re- porcelained which will only last a few years at a cost of upwards of $300,or get a new tub.

lye soap, vinegar, mean green - and sometimes some ceramic tubs, the ceramic has worn really thin and it has a dull gray sheen or even black streaking and it's as clean as it's going to get. There are ceramic resurfacers and you might want to consider that since you've bleached it well and no that it is sanitary.

If it is stained you can try CLR or go to DIYNETWORK.COM and look under the show the Queen of Clean.
It is also possible that the porcelain is worn out and the more you scrub it the worse it will look. It does not mean it isn't clean. The only way to fix this that I know of is to have it recoated.

Sounds like your tub needs to be reglazed not cleaned. I have run into this situation several times and the glazed finished is eroded to the point it cannot be cleaned. Each time I had a local company reglaze the tub and it cmae out looking like new.

you want abrasive soaps and sponges. attempt something like comet first, if that doesnt artwork on my own you should attempt taking a pummice stone (no longer particular about spelling yet truly a lava rock for cleansing) to the hard earrings. If guide exertions doesnt reduce it there are an excellent selection of goods consisting of a few corrosive acids that artwork large yet make certain you position on gloves and save the room ventilated bc those products provide off poisonous fumes and are risky to the exterior. talking of that... if youre attempting a range of of issues, no longer all cleansing products must be blended! call the # on the decrease back if youre no longer particular

Get "PURPLE POWER" the tire cleaner solution at your nearest car parts place. Usually about 5.00 or less per gallon. Put on goggles (will burn your eyes and blind if gets in them and if you get some in them wash with water immediately), spray on and saturate the entire area, leave on for about 5 minutes. Then with a plastic tire brush scrup the tub (hey that rhymes). and be sure to rinse
