can someone please help me? Does anyone know the size of off set ring spanner needed to loosen and tighten the lock nut on the band adjustment screw. I dont own a set of off set spanners and can only afford to buy singles.

Its hard to remember back to the old 83 models,they were DL and GL here in US. I think it was a 17mm and it was 8 or 10mm for adjuster.

Take the tranny to the subaru dealership and I would bet (at least the one in K.C.) that the mechanics would be glad to loan you the right wrench. They are really the best....helpful. Great people. Good luck.
