It's about like a creature that lives in these people's pool I'm pretty sure. It's supposed to be really scary.

Plot Outline: Apartment building superintendent Cleveland Heep (Giamatti) rescues what he thinks is a young woman from the pool he maintains. When he discovers that she is actually a character from a bedtime story who is trying to make the journey back to her home, he works with his tenants to protect his new friend from the creatures that are determined to keep her in our world.

I'm gonna see it tomorrow and ill try to remember to edit my answer. from what i understand bryce howard plays a fictional creature, she is not human, she can help mankind however something is stalking her and will kill her if given the chance. it an m night shamalan movie so you have to know that it will be crazy and have a serious twist at the end. look at 6th sense, the village, and signs.

m. night shamolon(whatever) staerted tetlling his kids this story. before bed. no he made it into a movie,heard it was real dumb, would only appeal to kids!!
