Elizabeth-Champagne...I love it..My grandmom's middle name & a bottle of the good stuff..No wonder they were celebrating when I got here..

I have come to adore my middle name although it really didn't mean much to me for most of my life other than it was my father's first name.
It is Wallace, one of the heros of Scotland, you know--and that is where my family's ancestors came from.
It was only after I got involved in genealogy and genetics genealogy and have begun corresponding with folks still in Scotland that I have come to really appreciate its value.
And what is so odd is that I recall hearing that Daddy's mother chose "Wallace" for him only because she liked the sound of it--for the family had long forgotten that their ancestors six generations earlier had come from Scotland, and she actually gave it to him as a variant spelling--"Wallis"--but everyone changed what she had written in the family Bible to the more conventional spelling and when the birth certificate was finally filed, it was with the "ace" ending.

I love my middle name, its the name I use everyday ( I don't use my first one)

Lots of people are like really embarrassed of their last name. Frankly I like my middle name better than my first one. It's Danielle and I think that's better than Valerie!

I really like my middle name. Very unique. It's Ipalnemoani. It means "The One We Live For" in Nahuatl (Aztec).
