I live in Tucson az, and I am haveing a very high power bill, some where in the range of 200$ and i only have a 2 bedroom apt. I also keep all the lights on and limit my useage of dishwasher, dryer and washer, I don't watch TV and keep all the lights off when not in use so I was wondering was is the average bill for other people?

Read your bill. What is your usage in kWh (killowatt hours)? What is your rate per kWh (8.3 cents)? What was it the month before and the month before that? The number you are quoting is WAY too high. Your bill should be around $50 - $75 in the summer with AC. If no AC, your bill should be $30 - $50.

Call the electric company and have them do an inspection. That's WAY too high. I have a 2500 sq ft house with the AC on all the time and mine's slightly lower than that.
Have them make sure no one is stealing electricity and/or you're not being charged for several or all neighbors! Have them check for potential gas leaks (if gas is added into the bill) not only in your house but at the meter as well.

I live in central Illinois and my gas bill was over $400 bucks a month last winter. I had to sign up for something called the equalizer plan. You can pay your very high winter gas bills over 12 months instead of over the 4 months of the cold season. If your electric bill is high, your electric company may have a similar program.

In June of 2006 my bill was 175.00 for electric. In July it went up to 375. It cost me an additional 200.00 from one month to the next. Everyone in my area had this same problem.
I live in Eastern Texas.

mine been 200.00 since may before may i was about 120.00 are less now ist went all the way up to 200.00 i have asked several neighbors here theirs 200.00 are little more i dont no weither the power companies addin lil bit more to try help the elderly, due to the very hot months but ur right ur not the only one i am gettin it from this end to and i stay in the midwest good luck byebye..

Turn off the a/c. Use fans at night to cool your apartment with the windows open, and then close up the windows and cover during the day.

that is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too high!! Mine runs about $50 in the summer, even with the air on. (Pgh area)

I dont no what my elictric bill is

but my mom got on caps and they pay like half your electric bill i dunno if they have it wear u live but it saves u a lota money
