you answered your own questions. people don't have opinions because
"Today anyone who has an opinion is quickly labeled as a facist, a narrow-minded, a nazi, a racist, a sexist, a communist, a capitalist... any "ist"!"

It's our society. As a species, humans want to fit in and be a part of a community. So if we have differing beliefs, we're seen as "different" which doesn't allow us to be part of the group. However, there are still some of us who don't care about the whole community thing. I'm a girl with opinions and I will share them with anyone who asks. lol...call me whatever you like...I think the "-ist"s are pretty funny. :D

I don't think the problem lies so much in not being able to have opinions as it does with closed minded people who think there opinion is the only one that matters, or those who insist on forcing there opinions on everyone else. maybe if people were a little more open to others views and less concerned with imposing there own on others, I think more people would be more open to what others think, my philosophy is that everyone is entitled to there opinion just don't try to force me to change my mind and respect that my opinion may differ from yours, that is what makes each of us who we are, always remember the phrase "walk a mile in my shoes"

Of course people can have opinions. By the same token, people have the right to disagree with you, some more eloquently than others.

People can have opinions. But when those opinions are based on half-truths, lies, racism and the like, they become an "ism"

That is part of opinion. One idea sparks another. It is a vicious circle.
