Specifically this annoying pop up says...."A script is assessing some software (an ActiveX control) on this page which has been marked safe for scripting. Do you want to allow this? yes or no?
Can someone tell me how to get rid of this?

install some pop-up blocker

You have two real options and they do not involve pop up blockers. That notice is your browser warning you of a risky activity and asking for your decision. If you do not want to be bothered making important decisions you can always allow it or always deny it. You can change these settings in Tools --> Internet options-->security--> custom level.
Look for Active-X and make your changes. Active -X is a useful tool for good and for evil so as the ancient Knight once said " You must choose. But choose wisely...."

Active X Control is your web browsers way of "Protecting you", in a sense. If you want to see what is on a website, push yes. Contact me if you want more info or a detailed description.

I get that on any kind of site...Even Ebay. If you trust the site, then it should be fine.
