Yes, if you have the means, and are at least some what open minded, then you should go. Just make sure you do your research and come prepared. (make sure you won't perish in the desert) I personally guarantee you will probably have a really good time :)
Is it the experience of a lifetime? That's a personal answer. For some it is a week long party, for some it is very spiritual. But, there is no other event on earth that is quite the same.
