Are there certain sounds that put you right to sleep?

When I was a kid growing up in my parents house, we had this huge attic fan that would bring a nice breeze in through all the windows, and the frequency of that fan was just right that the sound would put me to sleep in minutes. Kind of like a white noise.

rainstorms, rain drops, rain drizzle, rain period! I love the sound of rain, and it puts me to sleep so quick and helps me sleep soundly through the night...........ZZZZZZZZZZZZ

When I was little my parents had an old metal garden shed and it sat right outside my bedroom window. The sound of rain tinking off of that shed would put me to sleep in an instant.

Yes. I sleep with a box fan every night just for the noise.

Definately the rain against the roof. We've got a patio right outside my bedroom window with a plastic sheet roof -- I get to enjoy the rain in the night doubly, because it rains on the roof above my room and on the roof outside! :-)

I also have an air purifier that puts me to sleep.

I love falling asleep to the sound of rain, to music (depending on what kind of mood i'm in), to the sound of the howling wind on stormy nights, and distant thunder.

Oh! I also like the sound of wind chimes. :o)

To this day, I have to have a fan in my bedroom, and if I'm going out of town, I take my fan with me!

Yes, the air conditioner, and the fan combined when I am at home...........When I am on vacation, the waves lapping onto the shore in Negril, Jamaica always do it for me............
