half don't care... while the other half are going down kicking and screaming

in other words... half the population is like Jack D... blames all the problems on the "liberal leftists" and uses that as an excuse to go and do things that you have no evidence to support...

Where are the WMD Jack... where is Osama...

Saddam didn't bomb us... Osama did, but you guys seem to be very confused on that point...

and why do "leftist educational systems" make up all of the best educational systems in the world?

Current Americans want to blame everything on the left... the only problem is... it's not the left's fault... when they realize that, we'll join the rest of the world

What is really damaging our reputation is that our leftist educational system is so incompetent that Americans cannot spell basic words.
Are we to assume you mean our current government, not the previous one that had to suffer thru a president who gave sworn but false testimony in an obstruction of a sexual harassment lawsuit? Not the one who had made a two faced career of promoting legal measures against the very thing he so egregiously engaged in? Not the one which made such a mess of our intelligence and military capabilities that we were defenseless to 9/11? Or the one that gave such a weak response to the bad guys that the Islamist fascists thought we would remain defenseless? If you actually talk to the real people overseas, they continue to look to us for leadership because they know their own governments are hopeless, but you will never hear about that from our leftist news.

The smart ones do! We rely on foreign coutries more than most Amercian people know. If it werent for China! Walmart would be bankrupt! Because of our arrogance! The dollar is losing value.. If the world loses trust in us, our money becomes worthless so we really should care what the world thinks! We only represent 5% of the world population yet consume 30% of the products and 25% of the oil...

Some Americans do care, mostly those of us with children to worry about. Not all of us believe that sending our people over there to get killed is any better than having them killed over here. Any rational person knows that we can't prevent every attempt on U.S. soil. It's small minded people with cowboy fantasies who could care less about what happens 10 or 20 years from now. The world is not a safer place, there are just a lot more people who want to do us harm, and a lot less people who will believe us the next time we present 'evidence'.

Unfortunately there are many people who do not understand or care. What's more important - those same people do not understand or care that their government is damaging their rights and way of life.

It's apathy......which lends to stupidity.........and creates an unstopable process.

Most of us realize this, but our system of capitalism has gotten out of hand. The money powers of the world have so much power that they can heavily influence our congressmen and even our president and there doesn't seem to be much we can do about it. Even if we find an honest politician to vote for, the desire to be elected will create the opportunity for the big money powers to heavily influence them. At that point they are no longer honest, but they have a better chance of being re-elected because of the large campaign donations.

If your think the US measures itself by what a bunch of tyrants malcontents in other nations think you are mistaken. The UN is a good example of this. In fact the less countries like France, Canada, Germany, Mexico and almost all of South America think about the US the more I am convince we are on the right track. I would be concerned if they started agreeing with us.

Does the rest of the world realize that there is little to nothing that average American citizens can do about that? If people on the other side of the world are going to judge me based on the fact that I was born, raised, and currently live in America, that is their problem, not mine.

Well. I understand. And I'm an American. But... America's reputation is less important than results. The real problem is that the US hasn't managed anything really positive abroad, lately.

America's reputation is healthy, and well. Calm yourself...I just completed a survey and discovered that 99% of the world is still scared ****-less of us. That is what is important. Now go back to school and learn the difference between there/their.
