how bad is the paiin when you get the top of your ear pierced? like is it worse that when you get your earlobed pierced, some of my friends say that i really hurts but nope of then have done it so ppppplz tell me!!

I had it done. It doesn't hurt immediately but will hurt noticibly an hour after it is done...nothing a little tylenol cannot handle. The real bad part is answering the phone or rolling over on the pillow...ouch. You have to keep these piercings squeaky clean and they take a very long time to heal. Plus you must keep earrings in them to keep them open. I have had mine for 10 years and I love them. But I would not do it again.

It does hurt worse than your ear lob. I suggest you get it pierced with a hollow needle at a piercing parlor, instead of with a piercing gun. If you get it done with a gun, then it shatters the cartilidge in your ear, whereas a hollow needle just removes the cartilidge to create a hole. You will have less infections this way.

Okay....have you ever had a huge pimple and popped it? That's what it feels like. Trust me....it's not that bad. Is there pain? Yes but it's slight and will be over in a matter of seconds. Just be sure to take care of it and clean it right or else it will get infected....and yes....that does hurt. Best of luck to you and I hope you have an amazing day!

getting the top of your ear pierced is a lot less painful (and not at all to some people) because you have fewer nerve endings there than in the lobe of your ear... your welcome

Just a pinch :-) Just make sure to clean it every day so that it doesn't get infected. Infections hurt a lot...

i thought it would hurt and i was really prepared for the pain.. i guess i was kinda disappointed when all i felt was a throb.. and that was it. prepare yourself mentally and u won't feel so bad.

no... its just more of a burning feeling. mine was really never sore until my mom accidentally ripped it out :-\ id like to get it done again.
