Slow in what sense of slow?

Most people blame "slow computers" on lack of memory when it can be a low end video card or a slow internet connection..

Depends on what you mean by "slow"

Then, I think this is not your hardware problem
i think you have lot of softwares and utiliites in your PC.
so plz uninstall and remove the unwanted softwares from your pc.
if you are using some of your programs very recently means just uninstall it and then keep the setup file.
if you need it, just instal and work it. do the uninstallation again..
And then you just remove the unwanted programs from startup configuration by Start - Run- Msconfig -Startup Config- Remove all the Tick marks or Unwanted Programs from the Startup

and then regulary do the Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter

1st of all did you get the right kind of memory for your computer?
Make sure you don't put the memory directly next to each other cause it willl either make it run slower or no change or it wont work at all. Check with ur manufactorer to see which slots coincide with one another. cause dual slots will always improve performance. Also check the latency of the memory. Aso try to reformat ur computer. I hope this helped!! :)

Computer Slow

Download and then run startup.exe at:

http://www.mlin.net/startupcpl.shtml......

Can't live without it and windows...

Then disable and/or uninstall whatever u don't need.

Other things to try:

1 - Disk Cleanup (removal of temp files, cookies, etc.)
2 - Defrag
3 - Registry Cleanup (CAN BE VERY RISKY!)

ALL ELSE FAILS - RELOAD YOUR O/S (WINDOWS) AND THEN REINSTALL ALL OTHER PROGRAMS YOU NEED/USE!
