i gained 50lbs with my son and it took 2 years to lose it all. with my daughter i also gained 50lbs, but this time i lost 40lbs within the 1st 6 weeks. after that my weight loss ceased and i haven't lost a single pound in the last 5 weeks. does anyone know a good way to help control my appetite? i noticed i am eating like i am pregnant again (i'm not lol, i have not had sex since i was about 3 months preg) and feel like i can't control myself when it comes to food. i am eating a lot of salad with a lot of veggies and low fat dressing and turkey and chicken sandwiches with only a handful of chips or a piece of fruit, but at night time i can't control the need for junk food. i don't want to take diet pills, they're expensive and not good for the body.

the first 6 weeks i was so tired and busy i kept forgetting to eat and only drank water because i had a tear to my urethra and it hurt to pee if i drank anything else.

well my thing is, if i have sweets in my house i will indulge. so i just dont buy it, dont keep any of it around the house. only keep healthy things around your house. and if it is just killing you, buy one thing of junk food, like a bag of cookies, take out a handful to eat and then put the bag away. put the bag away somewhere out of sight and inconvenient to get to if possible (like the garage or a high cabinet) also sometimes when your body is dehydrated, it will trick you and instead of making you thirsty you will feel hungry. try drinking LOTS of water, it will hydrate you and it will also make you feel full. a big glass of milk would fill up your stomach too.

It would help to know how much you weigh and how tall you are. But assuming you know what you are talking about, let me suggest a lifestyle change for you. Simply put, there are certain foods that are high in calories.

First, you need to drink lots of water, walk an hour every day except 1 then do stretching and upper body toning.

No sugar
No sodas
No candy
No chips
No potatoes
No pasta
No pizza
no carrots
no corn
no bread
no rice

Try exercising more, then you can still have the occasional junk food at night without having to worry about it or feel guilty!!! I wanna know how you lost 40 of the 50 lbs in 6 weeks????
