I would name the fish "Someone." That way you could keep the tank in the kitchen and often be able to say...... Someone's in the kitchen with Dinah! LOL!!!
But that's just me.

Goldfish need a minimum of 10 gallons PER baby/juvenile fat fancy goldfish, and a minimum of 20 gallons PER baby/juvenile commet/common/shubunkin goldfish. Adults need a minimum of 50 gallons PER goldfish. Goldfish excrete ALOT of ammonia and need heavy filtration.
It doesnt matter what you name it because the fish is going to die if you continue to keep it in that tank.

Name him/her after your favorite singer or actor.
If you like Beyonce' or Jessica Simpson or Brad Pitt or somebody like that, whoever you love in the entertainment business, name the fish after them.
After all, it's just a name for fish, it's not like it is going to come running or swimming towards you when you call it's name.
Fish can be boring enough, give it an exciting name.
We inherited two fire belly frogs and their names are Jay Z and Beyonce'. It works!!

Call it Dr. Who or Who for short. Just a little joke on Goldfish memory span. And it would lead to wonderfully long conversations about what your fish is named. Who? Very Abbott and Costello. Enjoy.
