None of the buttons work on the program, the adapter is inactive. I cant refresh it. All the buttons in the program are unclickable, because the adapter is inactive. I need to either know how to get it off my computer, or activate the adapter.

If you can go to your program files and find Lynksys and click on that then then click on the program itself...then...if it pops up..click on "site survey"...it should refresh itself..I hope that helps.

Also..

Try to take the hardware portion of Linksys from your laptop and then put it back in...see if that doesn't work..by re-installing it that way the computer might recognise it as new hardware.

Remove it. Reboot. Uninstall the drivers. Reboot. Put it back in and Windows should recognize it.

the wireless service may have to be activated by going to the "services" section under "My Computer" "Manage" and seing if the service is turned on and noted as "automatic" fo startup options.

Then again without further details on your issue, it is hard to pinpoint your issue.
