The San Rafael Swell on I-70 going through the Utah desert--at sunset!
The late orange sun casts a warm light on the desert below. The rays cast shadows on the low-lying plants, making the desolate desert come alive! And since there is still daylight, you can still see the awesome, wide open scenery of the Utah desert, and all its spectacular rock formations.

I don't remember the name of the highway it could be I 95 but it went through the Painted Canyon in North Dakota. It was incredible and awe inspiring.

Hwy 101 up the CA coast between LA and SF. Yosemite hwy and King's canyon (Sequoia Giant Trees) ain't too shabby either.

i dont remember the road numbers either but (in the u.s.a.) the one through yosemite natl park and badlands natl park are two great ones i remember.
